An A&E department should be able to rule out a heart attack in under four hours.
The situation might be different if you have a history of heart problems, where observation is needed. But for most people an ECG and a blood-test will rule out anything nasty.
I'd rather have a bit of worry about my laundry rather than drop dead of a heart attack mind...
