If you go in once and it turns out to be something genuine enough, but not in fact a heart attack or immediately life threatening (such as Tom's own incident two weeks ago) and you don't happen to be on first name/colleague terms with the A&E staff or have easy access to several transportation options... then it's not an experience you'd care to repeat for no good reason.
