Maybe it's just the teenagers I knew at school... there were very few who were "proper bad'uns" and very few angels. For the most part, it was a bit of both. So for instance, someone could be a Lovely Young Man and help someone struggling with a pushchair on and off the bus - then go out and get drunk on cheap cider in the park, harassing passers-by, scribbling on the play equipment, and generally being a Complete Little Sh*t - then go home and do the washing-up, and in the morning, help their little brother get up and dressed and take him to school, like a Responsible Member Of Society - then get to their own school and end up in detention for starting a fight like a Vicious Thug...
