Funny thing about that 8 minute target, its completely meaningless... unless you need an ambulance of course. Oh yeah, and it has no clinical relevance, except that the longer you wait for an ambulance the worse your prognosis is! Yes the screen indicator is the work of an idiot, but equally it is very difficult to manage staff who intentionally take longer at hospital, There is a culture of acceptance of such behaviour that is hard to breach.
