You couldn't do it, I'm glad to say, because you're still human. You'd be surprised (although that might just be the night-shifts talking). Here is the thing - if my dad had *ever* laid a hand on my mum he'd have woken up on morning with his testicles in a small glass by the side of the bed and my mum washing the blood off the bread knife. It *annoys* me that some other people can't also take their own destiny by the hand (so to speak), even if it's just by asking for help.
