Here is a question, something I'm trying to get my head around. Now, as in when I've written about this subject before, commenters tell me about long histories of abuse. But doesn't it start with one punch? One slap? One emotional blackmail? Why do people let it get to a 'history'? Why don't they get the person arrested, thrown out and disown them when the first hand is raised? It just confuses me.
