Re: Dear Dr. Crippen
by vivdora
It seems to me that some doctors feel threatened by other health professionals. I admit that when I feel annoyed when a health care assistant calls herself a nurse I may be displaying the same fear but I think it's because they are lying. They haven't done the training. A good doctor is grateful for all the help he/she can get and appreciates another expert in their own field. Mind you, we're getting there. I've certainly seen a change in the last 30 years. When you stop to think about the logistics of calling an ambulance you realise that protocols must be followed by control, especially if there is going to be any chance of reaching the dreaded 8 minute target. Come on Dr Crippen, read this blog and then maybe you'll understand. Maybe.
