Re: Consequences
by becktimms
That was a heart breaking enough story without the last line. It's such a shame. On my very first placement as a student nurse I was asked to sit with a girl of 16 who had just taken 150 paracetamol tablets, she told me she thought no-one would react if she only took one packets worth so went to her friends/nans/cousins and collected their tablets. Two days later I was there when we had to transfer her to ITU, such a shame. I never did find out if she made it or not, and I doubt I will ever forget her name.
