They're very good for reading 'sequentially', as with 'normal' books - less so for reference, however. I'd advise anyone with an interest to take a look at the http://www.mobileread.com/ site, where there's a fair amount of informed traffic. To get the best out of eInk readers, in this country at least, you do need to be a techically-aware reader, but if you do read a lot, they're certainly worth checking out.
