Having worked for most of my career in A&E, and having to deal with obviously unwell psychiatric patients and the reluctance of the same-site mental health unit to take responsibility for them I can empathise with you. I'm particluarly ashamed that these 'nurses' seem to have no idea of how to provide basic care for a patient in their charge. I spend time replying to the the scattergun approaches of folk like Dr Crippen who lambasts other HCPs who extend their roles. Actions like these make our position difficult to defend.
