I remember when I was a kid, and my Mother would occasionally say "if you don't stop that I really WILL give you something to cry about"? I'd be sorely tempted to tell these type of patients "you call an ambulance again and I'll make SURE you really need it!" -perhaps it's just as well I'm not in your line of work...
