Sadly the new tetra/Airwaves radios will NOT solve your problems. My service has had them for over a year now and we're still walking into difficult and violent situations. Control's excuse(s): - We're too busy to update you - We didn't know (i.e. we're not allowed to ask the caller if they've still got the knife/gun/plank of wood) Remember is as long as we get there in 8 minutes its a success - doesn't matter if the crew get injured. Get there in 9, and still get your head kicked in, an you'll be hauled into the office to 'explain' why you missed the target and why you're off work injured.
