I've read his book and now I read his blog, and not once have I ever heard Tom romanticize the job or put himself up on a pedestal. The man tells it like it is. Sometimes, he tells you all the little details and sometimes he puts it in a short, almost poetic half-pager that either way - puts you right there alongside him in the rain. I wish I had the ability to write as precisely as he does.
