While I'd have to agree that your chances of getting the job are probably slim- especially because of the blog- I'd also say that you should go for it. A blog from someone inside the PR machine with connections to those who are being reported on would be a fascinating read. It'd be great to have some insight into how exactly things are being spun, and might perhaps lead towards a greater deal of honesty coming out of the LAS. A long shot, but something worth attempting!
