Anytime you hear any news reports from the LAS it goes through the press office. If newspapers call up for a comment on a report they've heard, they call the press office. The press office is a necessary part of any organisation which is public facing. The alternative is that these questions are fielded by ambulance people themselves. And what a good use of their time that would be(!)
