Re the "right to die card".
Advanced Decisions, and Advanced Statements are part of the mental capacity act, and the statements ARE legally binding, if done in the correct manner. Part of this is that they must be witnessed. The cards given out by Salford council are in now way, shape, or form, legally binding under the mental capacity act.
If LAS aren't providing training on this, contact one of the trusts you cover and see if you can go to their taining on it. I think its vital that people in jobs like yours do receive the training. Its also a fascinating course, I loved it.
