I was in a debate with the Christian Union at my university. The motion was "This house believes that God is dead". Here are some of the quotes from me in response to hearing God: "When was the last time anyone in the church received a memo from Jesus or God" "Doesn't what the member of the proposition has just said not sound an awful lot like the symptoms of Schizophrenia? The answer ladies and gentlemen is yes; yes it does” The latter lead on to 2 minutes of ranting about “Jesus Psychosis” and a further two minutes on the relationship between religion and mental health. It didn’t go down too well!
