What I don't understand is: why is it up to you to make that decision? Surely there are policies and procedures in place for situations such as these?
(My personal opinion is that the police should be notified. I know there has been the victim / criminal issue discussed on this forum before, but I have little sympathy for law-breakers (especially when the criminal act leaves a victim scared). I believe that we are all faced with choices and should know that our decisions have consequences - you make bad choices and bad decisions then expect bad consequences. But then I'm a bit harsh!)
