Hmm. I found the baroque cycle quite bad compared to cryptonomicon - actually compared to any of his books. I think it's really long and wordy and much of it doesn't actually contribute to the story, and then the end of TSotW is just a let-down. Hope Anathem will restore my faith in N.S.
