My GP is one at a university as I'm in the catchement area, and when I was there the other day this year's crop of students had arrived. Considering they have A levels etc it's amazing how almost none of them knew how to 'look both ways' (or even look at all) before crossing a road. Maybe this is the first time they've ever been let out by themselves other than in a shopping mall? Or else they presume roads become pedestrianised just for them as they walk along?
They may be in the 'top howevermany percent', but I'd sure have my doubts whether they could mop floors or apply plasters if needed...
