It sounds quite normal to me. Being left alone to wait for it to wear off is by far the best remedy. Your girlfriend seems to have understood that, which is very good. Stay in and hibernate, you know it makes sense. And today has been like dusk all day so why would you want to go out? Only other people have a problem with it - we don't!
