Apropos of nothing, spouse has gone off in an ambulance with a badly cut hand. As ever, the ambulance workers (too flustered to see if one was a paramedic) were wonderful. I remembered to thank them both. And even as I type I hear (through the wonders of the internet) that he's had his stitches already.
