A colleague of mine committed suicide a few years ago. I still can't quite believe it; nobody had any suspicion he was desperate, let alone that desperate. And he meant to kill himself, all right. But the odd thing was, this was a scrub nurse, right? he had the knowledge, the skills, the access to equipment to make a complete job of cutting himself. And yet he chose to go the whisky-and-barbiturates route. Never been able to quite get that anomaly out of my mind.....may he rest.
