If being sufficiently drunk that you have to be carted off in an ambulance is enough to get you charged with D&I (and it should be), then I would have thought that four weekends of cleaning up puke and washing out ambulances after drunken idiots have been scraped off the streets would be a fitting community service tariff. It might work, you never know...
