I'm sorry you didn't get the job, that can't have helped the miseries much. Good for you for turning it around. I would suggest that you need to find ways to support yourself as you continue in your present role. You have sounded really low and occasionally heartbroken in recent times. Find something silly to do, with fluffy people once a week, if your shift patterns allow. Many virtual hugs to you and best of luck.
