my skin does not react to fiber content (i.e., wool vs. cotton) as it reacts to texture. those little froufrou yarns with spangles & baby yarn with the frizzies may be an artificail fiber, but my skin reacts to them as it does to wool/alapca fiber-frizzies--i break out into what looks like a vicious hicky which lasts for a week!. i also react to artificial christmas trees---but not real ones.
