It wasn't you that killed him, it was years of fags, not looking after himself and possibily a touch of mental illness. It could have happened when the GP was there, while he was on the loo or, if you had been divereted to another job, to a different crew....not wishing to disrespect the patient but it was a case of pass the parcel, it just happened to be you who heard the music stop.
