it makes my day when i get to give a mum their first hold of their usually tiny baby. this, for me has the aww factor, usually because either the mum or baby or both were too ill for this when they were born and they couldn't then, and they have usually waited a while whilst one or the other is better. the smile on the mums face is so touching and loving it makes me grin inside for the rest of the shift, and i come away from work, knowing that i have made one big person and one tiny person very happy.
