I haven't seen the film, but I'd tend to agree with you. There's fine line between doing something rightfully with the patient's best interests and breaching a trust in doing so. Without specifically asking for consent from each patient, she's violating their rights - even though (in her opinion) it's for a good reason. Who gets to make that judgement call ? That's what laws are for. I agree that we should all advocate for our patients, and vocally so if they are being maltreated - but where to draw the line if we all decide on our own what's right and wrong ?
