Well, the vast majority of our calls are no trouble at all - and when there is a suspicion of there being trouble, then our Control will ask to police to attend as well.
I tend not to bother the police too much, as some 6'5" copper standing in the corridor will only slow me down while I run away from violent people...
That and (touch wood) people tend not to want to hit me.
