100% scoop and go. I work as a Tech in rural Scotland and sadly we often do not have the choice, our travel time can be hours. In your situation there is no benefit to invasive procedures with such a short travel time. I am a firm believer in Diesel and you and your partner should have no doubts that you made the best call.
