As hard as may be to face up to, the powers that be in this job do not really have patient care in the forefront of their remit. They are autocratic in their style because of the target, times and statistics culture that exists. While I admire your tenacity, i'm afraid all your good intentions are rather wasted on this bunch. I have learnt this the hard way at times, as i'm sure have many others before me.
