Either C or B (as a fantasy lover I want to hear more about the dragons, but I am intrigued by infectious dementia) I think that C would help you get away from medical stuff and give your brain a place to escape to (at least, that's what I find when I'm writing).
Good luck with it - I'm doing Nanowrimo, too, and hoping to beat my personal best of two years ago (5,000 words :-S)
