Hear, hear. Trying to buy recent releases on ebook is a world of frustration if you don't live in the US or Canada. I would add one more pointer to Waterstones or whoever wants to sell ebooks in the UK - while I'd love to buy a lot more ebooks from UK stores I'm VERY reluctant to pay the same (or more) for an electronic copy than I would for the hardback from Amazon, which seems to be the default price point in Waterstones. Baen seem to manage to have a very good business model selling ebooks at the price point of a paperback at exactly the same time as the hardback is released in the US, only charging a significant premium for pre-release access to a new book.
