The problem is that Drs in general don't do first aid. I was discussing this with a retired GP just a couple of weeks ago. She said if she ever comes across anything, she'll offer assistance, but won't interefere with any first aider on scene, as she recognises that someone with a current first aid certificate will probably be more up to date on first aid procedures than she is!
